Scarf has an ever-growing membership, currently over 80 families including around 200 children from the New Forest and surrounding areas. We always welcome new members to the Scarf group.
To join Scarf, families must live in the New Forest area (we go out as far West at Christchurch and as far East at Totton) and have a child (aged up to 25 years) with special needs.
Family Membership is £20 per annum and renewable each January. (The membership fee for renewals, not new members, will go up to £30 after 28th February 2019, so please renew early!).
This gives you access to a wide range of subsidised activities – very often the yearly membership is recovered in a single family day outing! We do make a charge for each activity, and information on activities and charges are detailed on our website calendar and individual activity programmes, which are emailed out to all members as soon as they are ready, and published on our website too.
We have a hardship fund available to those experiencing financial hardship – do please apply, in confidence (email@example.com, phone: 07874 221249, or approach one of our Committee Members) if you have genuine difficulty with accessing Scarf activities due to the cost and would like to access our hardship fund.
Because we are a parent-led organisation we ask that a parent or carer accompanies their children to events (except Youth Club, Multi-Sports and Scarf 2 activities).
